Founding General Manager / Operating Partner

Duties

• Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff management to ensure seamless daily performance.
• Lead hiring efforts by interviewing candidates and training staff to uphold high standards of customer service and food quality.
• Manage inventory control processes, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to maximize profitability.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and training programs to foster a high-performance team environment.
• Conduct profit and loss analysis to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
• Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest feedback promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Lead shift management duties including scheduling staff, overseeing food production, and ensuring efficient workflow during busy periods.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in food production, and hospitality services to elevate guest experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of restaurant, food-service or hospitality management experience.
• Understanding of restaurant/store-level P&L and financial performance
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for financial transactions.
• Extensive knowledge of food safety management practices, inventory control, and food handling regulations.
• Experience in managing hospitality teams with a focus on training & development, staff coaching, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of restaurant management principles including shift management, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food cost control.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams through managerial communication strategies; adept at interviewing candidates and onboarding new staff.
• Background in fine dining or casual dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining operational efficiency; motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
