Founding Head

We’re launching a new, well-backed finance brokerage in New Zealand and are looking for an exceptional senior finance broker to lead the business from day one.

This is not a traditional broking role.

You’ll have the opportunity to build and lead a national finance business with significant backing across marketing, technology, lead generation, operations and offshore support.

For the right person, equity is on the table.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for establishing and leading our New Zealand broking operation, including:

• Building and managing relationships with banks, non-bank lenders and private credit providers
• Establishing lender panels and accreditations
• Structuring and settling complex finance transactions
• Recruiting and leading a high-performing broking team
• Developing our commercial and construction finance capability
• Helping build systems, processes and compliance infrastructure
• Working directly with the founders on growth strategy
• Converting a strong pipeline of company-generated opportunities

You will not be expected to build the business through cold prospecting alone.

We intend to invest heavily in customer acquisition and provide the technology, marketing, operational and administrative support required to allow our brokers to focus on what they do best: advising clients, structuring deals and closing transactions.

Who We're Looking For

You must be an experienced New Zealand finance broker with a strong track record across:

• Commercial property finance
• Construction & development finance
• Business and corporate lending
• Residential lending
• Experience with private credit, non-bank lending, asset finance or complex transactions would be highly regarded

You should also have:

• Deep relationships across the New Zealand lending market
• Strong lender accreditation and aggregator/network relationships
• Excellent understanding of NZ financial advice and compliance requirements
• Experience structuring complex transactions
• A strong personal settlement track record
• The ability to recruit, mentor and lead other brokers
• Commercial judgement beyond simply writing loans
• An entrepreneurial mindset
