Nava Insights is building a new generation of qualitative research software: AI-native, voice-first, and grounded in real research expertise. Our platform turns what used to be week-long, expert-led research projects into fast, rigorous, and intuitive product experiences powered by AI.

The Role

We’re hiring a Founding Product Designer to lead design across Nava Insights’ entire product experience, from first interaction to deep, long-term usage.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll help define:

• How AI-powered research should feel
• How complex qualitative workflows become simple, confident user journeys
• How Nava Insights’ brand, product, and design language come together as one

You’ll work closely with founders, product, and engineering to shape not just how things look , but what we build .

What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end design across all customer-facing experiences, from onboarding to advanced research workflows
• Translate complex qualitative research and AI reasoning into clear, intuitive, and trustworthy UX
• Define and evolve Nava Insights’ design system, visual language, and interaction patterns
• Prototype early and often, using Figma, AI tools, or whatever best communicates the idea
• Collaborate tightly with engineering and product to ship thoughtful, high-quality features
• Influence product direction by shaping problems, not just solutions
• Bring Nava Insights’ brand to life across product, marketing moments, launches, and content
• Balance a high bar for craft with fast iteration and momentum
• Help establish the design principles, systems, and practices that will scale with the company

You Are a Good Fit For This Role If

• You have 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in startups or fast-moving product teams
• You have strong visual taste and care deeply about detail, typography, spacing, hierarchy, and flow all matter
• You’re highly proficient in Figma and comfortable building and maintaining design systems
• You have strong product intuition and think in terms of value, tradeoffs, and impact
• You’re excited about designing for AI-powered products, experimentation, and new interaction paradigms
• You thrive in close collaboration with founders, engineers, and users
• You can clearly articulate design decisions and reasoning
• You have a bias toward action, you don’t stop at concepts, you ship
