Founding Product Engineer (AI security startup)

We're recruiting a Founding Product Engineer for a seed-stage AI security startup in San Francisco. Their AI risk platform is already used by Fortune 500 enterprises and a major pro sports team to assess and monitor the risk that comes with the AI tools they roll out.

You'd be the first engineer who works only on the customer-facing product, and you own it end to end. That means figuring out what to build, building it, and seeing how customers actually use it.

What you'd own:

• Making the platform easy for every team inside a big enterprise to use, well beyond the workflows it supports today

• New product experiences built on top of the AI risk data for new use cases

• Improving existing features and UI end to end across Python, Postgres and React

• Digging into customer data and feedback to decide what gets built next (a good chunk of this is PM-type work)

• Working closely with engineering and sales, and meeting customers when it makes sense

Stack: Python, React, PostgreSQL.

You're probably a fit if you have:

• 1 to 5 years as a product engineer or full-stack engineer

• Real product intuition. You care about the customer's problem, not just the ticket

• Clear communication and a high sense of ownership

• Bonus: you've been a founder or founding engineer, or you've built user-facing side projects people actually used

You don't need an AI security background. You do need real interest in learning the space.

Who this isn't for:

• Anyone who can't be in the San Francisco office 5 days a week

• Engineers who'd rather only take tickets and never talk to customers

Pay: $130K to $180K base plus meaningful founding equity. Relocation help is available case by case.
