Foundry Quality Head

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall Quality function for the Vertical Foundry operations.
• Develop and implement quality systems, standards, procedures and controls.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
• Drive process quality, incoming quality, in-process quality and final inspection.
• Handle quality issues related to casting, melting, moulding, fettling and machining processes.
• Lead RCA, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA activities.
• Monitor and improve PPM, rejection, rework, customer complaints and COPQ.
• Lead customer audits, certification audits and supplier quality improvement initiatives.
• Establish quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the foundry.
• Develop and mentor the quality team and build a strong quality culture.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, SCM and Customer Quality teams.

Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 1525 years of experience, with strong exposure to Foundry Quality.
• Experience in automotive components / ferrous or non-ferrous foundry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of casting defects, metallurgical processes and quality tools.
• Proven experience in team leadership and customer handling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Ideal Candidate: A senior quality professional capable of independently leading the entire Foundry Quality Vertical, improving quality metrics, reducing rejection/customer complaints and ensuring customer and statutory compliance.
