Job highlights

• Experience with ISO 9001, NDT methods (LPT, MPT, UT, RT), metallurgical quality control, and casting defect analysis
• Implement and maintain QMS, conduct audits, control foundry and metallurgical quality, manage rejection control, investigate customer complaints, supervise quality inspectors

Key Responsibilities

1. *ISO 9001:* Implement and maintain the Quality Management System.

2. *Audits:* Conduct annual internal audits and coordinate external and customer audits.

3. *Foundry Quality:* Control raw materials, chemical composition, melting, moulding, pouring, and casting inspection.

4. *Metallurgical Quality:* Ensure proper heat treatment, hardness testing, microstructure evaluation, and dimensional inspection.

5. *NDT:* Knowledge of NDT methods, including LPT, MPT, UT, and RT, and interpretation of reports as per applicable standards.

6. *Rejection Control:* Analyse casting defects, identify root causes, and reduce rejection and rework.

7. *Customer Complaints:* Investigate complaints and implement corrective actions.

8. *Documentation:* Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and casting traceability.

9. *Team Management:* Supervise quality inspectors and coordinate with production.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

* Reduction in casting rejection and rework.

* Compliance with customer specifications.

* Successful ISO 9001 audits.

* Reduction in customer complaints.

* Timely closure of corrective actions.

*Authority:* Hold or reject non-conforming castings and ensure final quality clearance before dispatch.
