The work centers on judgment. As AI takes over more transactional accounting, the people who review the output, question it, and own the result matter more than ever. MAVI professionals work alongside US finance leaders, using AI tools to do more and applying the judgment to catch what those tools get wrong. At one client, an AR dashboard now used across the organization was built almost entirely by MAVI talent.

About the role

We’re looking for analytically strong finance professionals who bring a combination of deep financial modeling, commercial judgment, and strategic thinking .

In this role, you’ll work closely with CFOs, founders, and senior leadership teams at high-growth US companies, using financial analysis to support planning, performance management, capital allocation, and strategic decision-making.

The opportunity is designed for someone who wants to apply strong modeling and transaction experience in a more operational environment, with greater visibility into how decisions are made and how they ultimately impact the business.

What you’ll own

• Build and maintain integrated three-statement financial models
• Develop detailed revenue, COGS, OPEX, headcount, and working-capital assumptions
• Support annual planning, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning
• Analyze actual performance and identify the key drivers behind variances
• Run scenario and sensitivity analyses around growth, pricing, hiring, expansion, and investment
• Build financial cases for strategic initiatives and capital allocation decisions
• Partner directly with CFOs, founders, and senior business leaders
• Support management, board, investor, and strategic decision-making
• Evaluate investment opportunities, new initiatives, and potential transactions
• Translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations

Must-haves

• Strong experience across FP&A, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, M&A, TAS/Deals, or Corporate Development
• Excellent hands-on three-statement modeling
• Experience building financial models from first principles
• Strong understanding of P&L, cash flow, working capital, and underlying business drivers
• Strong scenario and sensitivity analysis
• Ability to connect financial analysis with commercial and operating decisions
• Strong communication and senior stakeholder management
• Excellent written and spoken English

Strong plus

• Budgeting and forecasting ownership
• Prior operating finance or FP&A experience
• Startup, scale-up, or smaller-company exposure
• Multi-client or advisory experience
• Direct founder or CFO exposure
• DCF, LBO, valuation, or transaction modeling
• SaaS, DTC/eCommerce, CPG, consumer, retail, or marketplace exposure
