Velmenni is a leading Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) company developing LiFi and Free-Space Optical (FSO) technologies for next-generation high-speed wireless networks. We combine communication theory, signal processing, FPGA acceleration, and photonics to build real-world optical communication systems. Our team works across the full innovation cycle—from research and simulation to hardware prototyping and deployment—creating technologies that complement and extend traditional RF-based wireless networks. This is an R&D position. You will own the design, development, and experimental validation of physical layer algorithms for LiFi and Free-Space Optical (FSO) communication systems — from theoretical formulation and simulation through to FPGA prototyping. Publishing and prototyping are both expected.

We are looking for an experienced FPGA Design Engineer with wireless communication industry background to contribute and oversee designs and development of high speed wireless communication system from concept, creation, verification and integration.

The ideal candidate should have worked in RF based wireless communication industry domain preferably 3G/4G/WiFi/WiMax and should have the zeal for building new technologies with keen interest in research. Apart from excellent hands-on experience in RTL design, you should be well versed in different concepts of wireless communication, networking protocols, modulation/demodulation. Responsibilities

Under minimum guidance you will be responsible for management and development of complex projects. The key responsibilities includes:

• Contribute and oversee designs and development of wireless communication system using FPGA implementation in VHDL or Verilog.

• Should be well versed in knowledge of current technical advancements and trends in the general field of FPGA and Multiple-Core microprocessor platforms and development tools.

• Produce unique solutions for technical challenges including, but not limited to VHDL and Verilog coding, communication system architecture.

• Spearhead technical project teams with overall responsibility for technical performance, cost and schedules.

Key Skills

• Minimum M.Tech or PG Certification in FPGA/RTL Design.Strong Academic background preferred (Masters, PhD)

• Strong knowledge of FPGA architecture design in Verilog, System Verilog and/or VHDL

• Experience in implementing high speed designs

• Verification skills

• Object oriented design and programming is a plus C/C++

• 3+Years of Industry experience

• Strong understanding of modulation/demodulation techniques (QPSK, QAM, OFDM) etc.

• Strong fundamental knowledge of wireless communication concepts and mandatory experience in 3G/4G/WiFi/WiMax technologies.

• Good analytical and problem solving skills
