Fractional CFO

Enhance C-Suite provides experienced financial leadership to growth-stage companies, primarily in the $5–50 million revenue range. Our clients have typically reached a point where their business complexity has exceeded the capabilities of their existing financial infrastructure.

We're expanding our presence in Grand Rapids, Holland and West Michigan and are building a small network of exceptional CFO Partners.

This is designed for an accomplished financial executive who wants to continue solving meaningful business problems while having greater control over their schedule and career.

What you'll do

You will serve as a senior financial leader within selected Enhance client organizations.

Your work may include:

• Advising owners, CEOs and leadership teams
• Improving financial reporting and decision-making
• Building budgets, forecasts and cash-flow visibility
• Developing KPIs and management dashboards
• Evaluating accounting and finance processes
• Strengthening controls and financial discipline
• Mentoring controllers and accounting teams
• Supporting ERP and financial-system improvements
• Facilitating strategic planning
• Preparing businesses for growth, financing, acquisition, succession or sale
• Helping leadership translate financial information into better decisions

Those responsibilities follow Enhance's existing client journey from discovery through stabilization, financial foundation, strategic growth and ultimately value realization.

Who we're looking for

Required

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership
• Meaningful CFO, VP Finance, Division CFO or equivalent experience
• Experience working directly with CEOs/owners
• Strong command of FP&A, cash flow, budgeting and financial reporting
• Ability to assess an unfamiliar business quickly
• Strong executive communication skills
• Ability to challenge leadership constructively
• Willingness to work regularly on-site in West Michigan
• Genuine interest in developing the client's internal finance team

• Manufacturing/industrial experience
• PE-backed company experience
• M&A or transaction experience
• Turnaround/restructuring experience
• ERP implementation
• Family-owned business experience
• Experience leading companies between roughly $10M and $100M
• CPA and/or MBA

Pay: $125.00 - $175.00 per hour
