At The Harvest Clinic, we're looking for an experienced Fractional CFO who wants to help shape what comes next.

The Harvest Clinic is a growing Australian psychology practice providing telehealth services nationwide.

But our vision extends beyond delivering therapy like any other clinic.

We believe mental health is not simply about escaping symptoms or reducing distress. It's about helping people build lives of greater freedom, purpose and vitality.

We're building an organisation that reflects this philosophy — in how we support clients, develop clinicians and create opportunities for meaningful growth.

We're now looking for someone who can help build the financial foundations to support that vision.

The opportunity

We're seeking an experienced fractional CFO who has helped growing businesses establish strong financial systems, make informed commercial decisions and scale sustainably.

You'll work directly with our Director, bringing financial clarity, strategic thinking and practical solutions.

Importantly, this isn't just an advisory role.

We already have external accounting, bookkeeping and accounts receivable providers. We need someone who can lead and coordinate this finance function, establish clear accountability, improve its systems and ensure reliable financial information reaches leadership.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Shape our financial future: Build forecasts and financial models that guide decisions around hiring, pricing, profitability and growth.
• Create financial clarity: Turn financial information into meaningful insights, clear recommendations and early warnings.
• Build better systems: Review our financial processes, identify inefficiencies and implement approved improvements that reduce manual work, errors and financial leakage.
• Lead the finance function: Coordinate our existing accounting and accounts receivable providers, establishing clear responsibilities, KPIs and accountability.
• Improve cash flow and collections: Strengthen financial controls, accounts receivable processes and cash-flow visibility.
• Influence real decisions: Work directly with the Director to evaluate opportunities, understand trade-offs and guide sustainable business growth.

Who we're looking for

You'll likely be an experienced CFO or fractional finance leader who has helped small or medium-sized businesses grow.

More importantly, you're someone who:

• Thinks commercially and strategically, but is equally comfortable getting practical.
• Has demonstrated experience building financial systems and leading finance teams or external providers.
• Can translate complex financial information into simple, actionable recommendations.
• Proactively identifies problems and opportunities rather than waiting to be asked.
• Is comfortable respectfully challenging leadership and providing independent advice.
• Values accountability, integrity and following through on commitments.
• Wants their work to contribute to an organisation with a meaningful purpose.

Experience with Australian business finance and Xero is highly desirable. Healthcare experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Flexibility built around outcomes. We anticipate an initially greater time commitment, potentially around one day per week, while systems and reporting are established. As the function matures, we'd like to explore a lighter ongoing arrangement based on agreed deliverables rather than hours alone.

• Location: Remote; Australian-based candidates preferred.
• Engagement: Fractional, with flexible arrangements to be agreed.
• Time commitment: To be agreed, increasing as the clinic grows.
• Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience, scope and deliverables.
• Reporting to: Director, The Harvest Clinic.
