Fractional Finance Manager

Role Overview

A leading professional services firm specialising in fractional financial leadership is seeking a Fractional Finance Manager to oversee a portfolio of high-growth clients.

Reporting to a Fractional CFO, you will drive monthly financial operations, reporting, and advisory cycles while guiding junior finance team members across your assigned clients, ensuring robust financial controls, streamlined cloud systems, and clear strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and annual financial statement schedules for portfolio clients.
• Lead monthly client review meetings to present financial insights, performance metrics, and operational recommendations.
• Oversee and configure cloud inventory and ERP integrations, specifically managing workflows and sync mappings between Cin7 Core and cloud accounting software.
• Develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures to optimize clients' financial and inventory control processes.
• Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, unit economics, and tax readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

• BCom or Honours degree in Accounting or Finance; completed SAICA, CIMA or SAIPA articles would be advantageous
• 3–5 years’ experience within an accounting firm or client-facing finance role.
• Practical experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and working knowledge of inventory/ERP tools such as Cin7 Core.
• Experience supporting inventory management, landed cost calculations, and stock reconciliations for product-based or manufacturing businesses.

Salary & Benefits

• R600,000 - R780,000 per year
