Framer Carpenter

Job Title: Independent Contractor Framing Carpenter (1099)
Location: Springfield, Ozark, Nixa, Branson and surrounding areas
Pay Rate / Compensation: $25-$35 depending on experience
Job Type: Contract / 1099 Subcontractor. We are a growing residential and commercial construction company seeking reliable, skilled Independent Contractor Framers to partner with us on upcoming wood-framing. We pride ourselves on clean layouts, safe jobsites, and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural blueprints, floor plans, and framing layouts accurately.
• Perform floor, wall, and roof framing for residential and/or light commercial structures.
• Cut, fit, and assemble lumber, engineered wood products, and sheet goods.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, structural specifications, and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trade contractors on site.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a framing carpenter (minimum 3 years of professional wood-framing experience).
• Must operate as an independent business entity with your own valid General Liability Insurance and Workers' Compensation waiver / exemption (or active policy).
• Must provide your own reliable transportation, truck, and a full set of professional hand and power tools (nailers, saws, levels, safety gear).
• Ability to pass background checks or provide 2–3 professional references from previous builders/contractors.
• Strong physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
