What they need

Role
The franchise manager owns the performance, relationship, and growth of Gang Gang Chicken’s franchise network. The role serves as the primary link between the company and its franchisees—driving agreed business targets, resolving concerns, strengthening franchisee engagement, and ensuring alignment with company direction and brand standards. The franchise manager also drives franchise growth, developing qualified prospects into new Gang Gang Chicken franchise partners.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Franchisee Performance Management: Own the business performance management process for all franchise-owned stores.
    ● Conduct regular performance reviews with franchisees using Gang Gang Chicken's CEO’s framework.
    ● Communicate and align franchisees on monthly and other agreed store targets.
    ● Review sales, transactions, average order value (AOV), operating trends, and other relevant store KPIs.
    ● Help franchisees understand why their stores are performing above or below expectations. ● Identify opportunities and risks affecting store performance.
    ● Agree with franchisees on concrete actions to improve performance.
    ● Track commitments and follow through until agreed actions are completed.
    ● Escalate significant performance issues to management when necessary.
    ● Maintain visibility over the overall health of the franchise network. The franchise manager does not merely report numbers. The franchise manager must turn performance data into action.
  2. Franchisee Relationship Management: Serve as the primary relationship owner for Gang Gang Chicken franchise partners.
    ● Develop strong, professional, long-term relationships with franchisees.
    ● Maintain regular communication beyond formal business reviews.
    ● Understand each franchisee's business situation, concerns, motivations, and growth plans.
    ● Ensure franchisees feel heard while maintaining clear company standards and expectations.
    ● Proactively identify dissatisfaction, disengagement, or emerging conflicts before they escalate.
    ● Manage difficult conversations involving performance, compliance, expectations, and company decisions.
    ● Coordinate resolutions with the appropriate internal departments.
    ● Build franchisee confidence in Gang Gang Chicken's direction and leadership. The objective is to develop franchisees who are not only compliant but who remain profitable, engaged, supportive, and proud to be part of Gang Gang Chicken.
  3. Franchisee Communication & Information: Act as the official point person for franchisee communication.
    ● Communicate important company announcements, initiatives, campaigns, menu changes, policies, operational updates, and other relevant developments.
    ● Ensure franchisees understand not only what is changing but also why it matters to their business.
    ● Organize franchise meetings, business reviews, briefings, and other franchise communications.
    ● Maintain organized records of important franchisee discussions, commitments, concerns, and decisions.
    ● Ensure information from management reaches franchisees accurately and consistently.
    ● Bring franchisee feedback, concerns, and market intelligence back to management. The Franchise Manager should become the person franchisees naturally contact when they need to understand "What's happening with Gang Gang Chicken?"
  4. Franchisee Concerns & Internal Coordination: Serve as the primary escalation point for franchisee concerns. Concerns may include:
    ● Sales and business performance
    ● Commissary and supply concerns
    ● Marketing support
    ● Promotions
    ● Pricing
    ● POS and technology
    ● Store operations
    ● Training
    ● Product quality
    ● Mall or landlord concerns
    ● Accounting and franchise-related payments
    ● Company policies.
  5. The franchise manager is not expected to personally solve every technical problem. Instead, the franchise manager owns the concern until resolution—coordinating with Operations, Marketing, Commissary, Finance, Training, Management, or other relevant teams and ensuring the franchisee receives proper closure. 5. Franchise Business Reviews & Action Plans: Lead structured franchise business reviews.
    ● Prepare franchise performance information before meetings.
    ● Discuss actual performance versus agreed targets.
    ● Identify key performance drivers, opportunities, and risks.
    ● Challenge franchisees constructively when performance or execution is below expectations.
    ● Listen to legitimate store-level realities that may affect targets or performance.
    ● Agree on measurable action plans.
    ● Assign responsibilities and deadlines.
    ● Follow up on outstanding commitments.
    ● Document material issues requiring management attention. Business reviews should result in decisions and actions, not merely presentations.
  6. Brand Standards & Franchise Compliance: Work closely with the Operations team to protect Gang Gang Chicken's standards across the franchise network.
    ● Monitor compliance with franchise agreements, company policies, SOPs, approved products, pricing, marketing requirements, and brand standards.
    ● Review significant operational and QSC findings affecting franchise stores.
    ● Ensure franchisees respond appropriately to Corrective Action Plans.
    ● Escalate repeated or material violations.
    ● Help franchisees understand the commercial reason behind important standards rather than relying purely on enforcement.
    ● Coordinate with Operations and other departments when specialized technical intervention is required. Store auditing and technical operations remain collaborative responsibilities with Operations; the Franchise Manager owns the franchisee relationship and accountability arising from those findings. 7. Franchise Sales & Business Development: Drive the development of qualified new Gang Gang Chicken franchisees.
    ● Manage franchise inquiries and the franchise sales pipeline.
    ● Screen prospective franchisees for financial capability, business fit, motivation, and alignment with Gang Gang Chicken.
    ● Conduct franchise presentations and discovery meetings.
    ● Explain the franchise concept, investment requirements, business model, expectations, and franchise process.
    ● Maintain disciplined follow-up with qualified prospects.
    ● Coordinate required documents, evaluations, approvals, and franchise agreements.
    ● Work with management on franchisee selection.
    ● Guide approved franchisees through the transition from prospect → franchise partner → store development/opening.
    ● Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospective franchisees.
    ● Identify opportunities for existing successful franchisees to open additional stores. The objective is not simply to sell franchises. The objective is to recruit franchise partners who can successfully operate and grow with Gang Gang Chicken.
  7. Franchisee Retention & Network Development: Develop franchise partners for the long term.
    ● Identify high-performing franchisees with potential for additional locations.
    ● Encourage qualified franchisees to become multi-unit operators.
    ● Recognize and reinforce strong franchisee performance.
    ● Identify franchisees at risk of disengagement, conflict, or non-renewal.
    ● Support management in franchise renewal discussions.
    ● Build stronger collaboration and community across the franchise network.
    ● Gather franchisee feedback that can improve Gang Gang Chicken's systems and franchise offering. A successful franchise manager should help create franchisees who eventually say, "I want my next Gang Gang Chicken store.
