Fraud Analyst

We’re seeking a Fraud & Digital Identity Analyst to help protect a leading SaaS platform from identity fraud, account abuse, and unauthorized activity. This role combines fraud investigation, SQL-driven analysis, and digital forensics to identify suspicious behavior, investigate incidents, and strengthen platform security controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate identity theft, account takeovers, synthetic identities, and unauthorized account creation.
• Analyze suspicious platform activity, application submissions, and transaction workflows to detect fraud.
• Leverage SQL to query audit logs, identify patterns, and uncover linked fraudulent activity.
• Review network and user behavior data, including IP addresses, device fingerprints, session activity, and proxy/VPN usage.
• Partner with Engineering and Security teams to improve fraud detection rules, access controls, and monitoring capabilities.
• Document investigations and maintain detailed case records and audit trails.

Required Experience

• 2+ years of fraud, digital identity, trust & safety, or platform risk experience within SaaS, InsurTech, FinTech, or a related technology environment.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, and data analysis.
• Experience analyzing logs, network metadata, IP intelligence, and user activity patterns.
• Ability to identify fraud trends by connecting multiple digital indicators and behavioral signals.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Splunk, ELK, Datadog, Sumo Logic, CloudWatch, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with identity verification and fraud-prevention platforms.
• Exposure to insurance, financial services, or multi-tenant SaaS environments.
