Freelance AGTES (DOSH Registered OYK)

About the Role

We are seeking a DOSH registered Authorised Gas Tester and Entry Supervisor (AGTES) to support telecommunications projects on a freelance basis.

Key Responsibilities

1.      Conduct atmospheric testing before and during confined space entry, as required, and record the results.

2.      Supervise confined space entry and ensure the required entry conditions and safety controls are maintained.

3.      Check relevant entry permits, risk assessments and supporting safety documents before work begins.

4.      Verify the readiness of ventilation, gas detection equipment and communication systems.

5.      Stop entry and initiate evacuation when unsafe conditions are detected.

Key Requirements

1.      Possess a valid NIOSH Safety Card, AESP certification, CA2C certification and DOSH registration as an Orang Yang Kompeten (OYK) for AGTES, with supporting documents available for verification.

2.      Experience in confined space work and relevant entry procedures.

3.      Experience with telecommunications manholes or underground cable works is an advantage.

4.      Able to attend site and travel to project locations in Kuching and Sri Aman according to the agreed schedule.
