Freelance Electrical Engineer - Future Opportunity

There is no active project tied to this post right now. By joining, you'll be ready to match with electrical engineering work in the Austin area as firms post it.

Site visits to facilities in the Austin area are expected when a project requires them. Design and documentation work is handled remotely.

What the Work Typically Involves

• Designing power distribution systems for commercial, industrial and mission-critical facilities
• Developing electrical one-line diagrams, load calculations, and construction documents
• Designing UPS, backup generator, and redundant power systems
• Coordinating with mechanical, controls, and architectural teams
• Supporting construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and site observations
• Supporting commissioning and testing as projects require

What We're Looking For

• Electrical engineering experience on commercial, industrial or mission-critical projects
• Working knowledge of redundancy approaches and critical power systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
• Comfortable working on a contract, project-by-project basis
• Electrical designers are also encouraged to join
