Freelance Events Manager

We Are Epic Caterers is looking for experienced and enthusiastic Freelance Event Managers to join our team, delivering exceptional weddings and events across South Wales and beyond.

We’re looking for natural leaders who can take charge on the day, keep everything running smoothly and ensure our clients and guests have an unforgettable experience.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of our catering operations on event days, leading the team and delivering the high standards our clients expect.

Key responsibilities:

• Leading and motivating our front-of-house event teams.
• Conducting staff briefings and allocating responsibilities.
• Overseeing event setup, food and drink service, and breakdown.
• Managing event timings and coordinating with the kitchen team.
• Liaising professionally with venue staff, wedding coordinators and clients.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of presentation, hospitality and guest service.
• Handling unexpected challenges calmly and confidently.
• Ensuring food safety and health and safety procedures are followed.

This is an event-day role only. All pre-event planning, bookings and client arrangements are managed by our office team. You’ll receive a detailed event brief and everything you need to deliver a successful event.

About You

We’re looking for people who:

• Have proven experience managing weddings, events or busy hospitality operations.
• Are confident leading teams and making decisions.
• Remain calm, organised and professional under pressure.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Are practical, proactive and happy to get stuck in.
• Are available for weekend and evening work.
• Have their own transport and can travel to different event venues.
