About First Stop Safety Training

First Stop Safety Training is an established training provider delivering high-quality first aid and safety training across Scotland.

We work with a wide range of organisations including nurseries, businesses, local authorities, healthcare providers and public-sector organisations.

Our approach to training is practical, professional and engaging.

As our work continues to grow across Scotland, we are looking to add an experienced Freelance First Aid Trainer based in or around Inverness to our trainer network.

The Role

You will deliver a range of first aid courses to our clients across Inverness and the surrounding Highland area.

Courses may include:

• Emergency First Aid at Work
• First Aid at Work
• First Aid at Work Requalification
• Paediatric First Aid
• CPR and AED training
• Basic Life Support
• Other first aid and safety-related training where appropriately qualified

Training will take place at client venues and other arranged locations.

Work is offered on a freelance basis and will vary depending on bookings.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is confident in front of a group and can make first aid training practical, enjoyable and memorable.

You should:

• Be appropriately qualified and experienced to deliver first aid training, including Paediatric First Aid
• Hold a recognised teaching or training qualification
• Have current and relevant first aid qualifications
• Hold appropriate Public Liability Insurance
• Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
• Be willing to travel throughout Inverness and the surrounding Highland area
• Have your own first aid training equipment, including appropriate manikins and AED trainers
• Have access to a laptop and suitable presentation equipment where required
• Be confident, approachable and engaging
• Be comfortable adapting your delivery to different groups and workplaces
• Be reliable, organised and professional
• Maintain accurate course documentation and learner records

Previous experience delivering workplace and/or paediatric first aid training is strongly preferred.
