Freelance Live Streaming Manager

Our talks are centred around our ethos of making public education as accessible as possible and touch on mental health and wellbeing, self improvement and self discovery. Seed Talks events range from science, psychology, history, current affairs, philosophy, neurodiversity, neuroscience and more in 2026 and beyond. We are looking for a reliable freelancer with a keen eye for detail to join our new hybrid live stream events team in Bristol. The role involves overseeing on-site audio, visual and livestreaming.

This is a four-hour commitment on a week day evening, once or twice a month, but could lead to other opportunities in the future, as we host events across the UK

Responsibilities:

• Manage the sound requirements. Guest entrance music and wireless microphones.
• Set up the projector and make sure our speaker’s slides are working correctly.
• Set up the live stream using our all in one console running on Zoom.
• Run checks before each event to ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
• Provide live technical support throughout the event and troubleshoot issues quickly.
• Liaise with our Event Manager and host, Speaker, and venue staff to meet key technical needs of each event. For example, some of our speakers may have videos with sound in their presentations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in live sound and visual.
• Practical AV skills, including projector operation and troubleshooting.
• A keen knowledge and understanding of setting up live stream PTZ cameras
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced event environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a calm, professional manner.
• Impeccable time keeping and communication skills

Pay

• £17p/h with each event generally lasting four hours.

Pay: £17.00 per hour
