Freelance Project Manager – IT Infrastructure

This role involves leading complex IT infrastructure deployment and migration projects, ensuring seamless service delivery from initiation through completion. The position requires hands-on management of project schedules, resources, risks, dependencies, budgets, and governance processes. You will be responsible for overseeing statements of work, change orders, and executive-level reporting, while coordinating with customers, vendors, engineering teams, logistics, and third-party partners. The role is based on-site in Eindhoven, Netherlands, with consideration for candidates willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT infrastructure deployment and migration projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee project governance, including SOWs, change orders, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, vendors, and third-party service providers.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, providing regular executive-level updates and reports.
• Implement and monitor project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) to optimize project outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and service management protocols.
• Support application migration initiatives and Azure/Azure DevOps integration as required.

Skills And Requirements

• 10–12+ years of IT project management experience, with a focus on infrastructure deployments, migrations, and managed services.
• Proven track record managing international teams and complex, multi-vendor projects.
• PMP certification is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with ITIL, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with application migration, Azure, and Azure DevOps is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Eindhoven, Netherlands, with flexibility for travel as needed.
• Exceptional communication and executive reporting abilities.
