Build the People Infrastructure of an International Hypergrowth Scale-Up
The Opportunity
A fast-scaling post-Series B company is entering a major international expansion phase.
The business is growing rapidly, hiring aggressively, and structuring teams across multiple geographies. Europe is already active, with North America, LATAM and potentially Asia next in line.
Over the coming months, the company will onboard significant volumes of employees across different countries, entities and operating models.
The challenge is not simply to implement an HR tool.
The challenge is to build the People infrastructure capable of supporting international hypergrowth without creating operational friction, compliance risks, fragmented workflows or long-term technical debt.
This role sits at the center of that transformation.
We are looking for a senior freelance operator able to architect, select and deploy the right global HRIS and People Ops foundation for the next stage of scale.
The Mission
You will lead the end-to-end design and implementation of the company’s global People infrastructure.
This includes:
Assessing and selecting the most relevant HRIS and international People stack
Designing scalable People workflows across multiple countries
Structuring onboarding, employee lifecycle and manager processes
Ensuring compatibility with international payroll, finance and legal operations
Supporting the company’s transition from startup processes to scalable global operations
Several solutions are currently being explored (including Deel), but no decision has been finalized.
The selected consultant will have strong ownership and influence over:
tool selection,
operational architecture,
implementation roadmap,
governance and rollout strategy.
This is a highly strategic and execution-heavy role with direct exposure to leadership.

The Ideal Profile
We are looking for a highly hands-on senior operator with strong international exposure.
You likely have:
8–15+ years of experience in People Ops, HR transformation or HRIS leadership
Previous experience supporting hypergrowth environments
Strong exposure to international scaling challenges
Experience deploying HR systems across several countries simultaneously
You understand the operational realities behind:
international onboarding at scale,
multi-country payroll complexity,
EOR vs local entity trade-offs,
compliance across Europe, the US and LATAM,
scaling People processes without slowing the business down.
You are not just an HRIS project manager.
You are someone who can combine:
strategic thinking,
operational pragmatism,
systems architecture,
and fast execution.
You are comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving scale-up environments where priorities evolve quickly and speed matters.
Strong Plus If You Have
Deel, Remote, HiBob, Personio or Workday implementation experience
Previous experience in Series B/C or VC-backed environments
Exposure to US and LATAM operations
Experience supporting international expansion from ~100 to several hundred employees
Background in both People Ops and systems/process transformation
Practical Details
Freelance assignment
Immediate or short-term start preferred
Multi-month engagement with strong extension potential
Hybrid setup with regular presence in Paris appreciated
Daily rate depending on experience and seniority
