Freelance Video Editor

We are looking for a creative, high-energy Video Editor to join our content team. Someone who has a deep interest in Travel, Architecture, Food, People, Colors, Cultures etc. and has a passion for it. This isn't just about "cutting clips". Its about telling stories and packaging then in a manner, where the viewer falls in love with the stories you create. You will be responsible for turning images and visual footage into polished videos and creating high-click-rate thumbnails that demand attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Reading through the script and understanding the requirement of the project.
• Looking for Copyright free Images, Video footage, Text references and making a database/ bank as per the script.
• Looking for copyright free music which can be used for the video.
• Video Editing: Edit long-form and short-form content (Reels/ YT Videos) with a focus on visual pacing, sound and music.
• Thumbnail Design: Create "scroll-stopping" thumbnails using composition, form, typography, and color theory to maximize attention and click through.
• Asset Creation: Design static social media posts, stories, and basic motion graphics (lower thirds, transitions).
• Collaboration: Work closely with the content lead to brainstorm visual hooks and creative directions for upcoming campaigns.
• Using AI, wherever required to build a good narrative for the edit.

Technical Requirements

• Knowledge of video editing software's like Adobe Premiere Pro, FCP, CapCut, Filmora.
• Knowledge of graphic designing softwares like Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Canva.
• Skills to create thumbnail design creation
• Platform Knowledge and Deep understanding of the specific dimensions and "vibes" of YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Excellent Verbal and writing skills to create compelling and error-free social media content. We work in English, Hindi and Marathi languages.
• In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LikendIn, YouTube etc.

The Ideal Candidate

• Some who has a deep interest in Visual Design. Needs to have knowledge of any of the graphic designing tool like Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and an eye for aesthetics.
• The "Hook" Mentality: You understand that the first 3 seconds of a video and the thumbnail are the most important parts of the project.
• Speed & Quality: You can turn around edits quickly without sacrificing the small details.
• Feedback-Friendly: You view revisions as a step toward perfection, not a personal attack.
