Freelance Video Editor

We’re looking for a talented Short-Form Video Editor to join our content team and work on high-quality Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form content.

What You'll Be Doing

• Editing short-form videos for Instagram Reels
• Turning raw talking-head footage into engaging, fast-paced content
• Selecting and integrating relevant B-roll
• Creating clean, modern captions and text animations
• Adding sound effects, music, transitions and other elements where appropriate
• Creating simple motion graphics and visual effects
• Improving pacing and retention through cuts, zooms, visual changes and storytelling
• Following established editing styles while also bringing your own creative input
• Handling around 8-10 videos a month while meeting deadlines
• Taking feedback and implementing revisions quickly

Please review these references before applying. We're looking for an editor who can achieve a similar level of pacing, visual storytelling, B-roll usage, captions, sound design and overall polish.

You don't need to replicate the edits exactly, but you should have a strong understanding of the editing principles demonstrated in these examples.

• Ability to make videos visually engaging without over-editing
• Understanding of when to use B-roll, text, sound effects, zooms and motion graphics
• Good communication and ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Willingness to learn and improve based on feedback

Software

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is required.

Experience with After Effects is a strong plus, especially for motion graphics and more advanced animations.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience editing fitness or coaching content
• Experience working with personal brands or creators
• Experience editing content designed for Instagram/TikTok/YouTube
• Understanding of social-media retention and viewer psychology
• A strong eye for typography, composition and visual storytelling

Pay: ₹6,500.00 - ₹8,000.00 per month
