What You'll Do

As a Warehouse Freezer Associate, you will help ensure frozen products are received, stored, handled, picked, and shipped accurately and safely, while maintaining proper cold-storage conditions, inventory accuracy, and an organized warehouse environment.

Freezer Operations & Cold Storage

  • Receive, move, organize, and store frozen products in designated freezer locations.
  • Maintain proper product identification, storage organization, and stock rotation.
  • Help protect product quality by maintaining cold-chain integrity during handling and movement.
  • Monitor freezer storage conditions and promptly report temperature concerns, damaged products, or storage issues.
  • Keep freezer areas organized, accessible, and safe for daily operations.

Receiving & Inventory Control

  • Receive and verify raw materials from vendors and finished products transferred from the manufacturing plant.
  • Check incoming products for accurate quantities, identification, condition, and lot information.
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, and inventory record accuracy.
  • Use RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and inventory records as assigned.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or product concerns.
  • Help maintain accurate product tracking and traceability.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

  • Pick, stage, and prepare products for customer orders and outbound shipments.
  • Verify product identification and quantities to support accurate order fulfillment.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, receiving, and shipping activities as needed.
  • Support timely product transfers between the manufacturing plant and Distribution Center.
  • Use warehouse material-handling equipment only when properly trained and authorized.
  • Help maintain an efficient workflow to support daily warehouse and shipping goals.

Quality, Food Safety & Workplace Safety

  • Follow GMPs, HACCP procedures, USDA requirements, SQF standards, and company food safety policies.
  • Maintain proper product handling and storage conditions to protect food safety and quality.
  • Follow allergen-control, product traceability, and contamination-prevention procedures.
  • Immediately report damaged products, temperature concerns, inventory discrepancies, or unsafe conditions.
  • Wear required cold-weather protective clothing, gloves, footwear, and other PPE.
  • Follow safe material-handling practices and warehouse equipment safety procedures.

Warehouse Organization & Cleanliness

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe freezer, receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
  • Keep aisles, storage locations, and work areas free of unnecessary obstructions.
  • Properly organize products, pallets, materials, and warehouse supplies.
  • Report damaged storage racks, equipment, or unsafe warehouse conditions.
  • Support daily housekeeping, workplace organization, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Help reduce product damage, inventory errors, and unnecessary waste.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with Warehouse Associates, Supervisors, Manufacturing, Quality, and Distribution teams.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and leadership.
  • Follow instructions from the Warehouse Supervisor and established operating procedures.
  • Ask questions when instructions, product information, or safety procedures are unclear.
  • Adapt to changing warehouse priorities and assist in other Distribution Center areas when needed.
  • Support the team in meeting daily receiving, inventory, and shipping goals.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, freezer, cold-storage, food distribution, or material-handling experience is a plus—but not required.
  • Entry-level and experienced warehouse candidates are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to recognize product damage, labeling errors, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Ability to learn and use RF scanners, warehouse management systems, and inventory records.
  • Understanding of safe material handling and warehouse safety practices.
  • Forklift certification required only when assigned to operate powered industrial trucks.

You'll Be Successful If You Are:

  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to doing quality work.
  • Detail-oriented and focused on inventory accuracy.
  • Safety-conscious and comfortable following established procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
  • A positive, respectful, and team-oriented coworker.
  • Flexible and willing to assist with freezer and general warehouse responsibilities.
  • Motivated to learn new skills and grow professionally.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a hands-on position in a freezer and temperature-controlled food distribution environment.

You should be able to:

  • Work for extended periods in below-freezing freezer areas.
  • Transition between freezer, refrigerated, and ambient warehouse environments.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and handle warehouse materials.
  • Perform repetitive product-handling and inventory-related activities.
  • Lift and move materials within the established requirements of the position.
  • Work safely around pallets, storage racks, material-handling equipment, and potentially slippery surfaces.
  • Properly wear required cold-weather clothing, protective footwear, gloves, and other PPE
