Role Description The Freight Broker Agent role at W Phillips Enterprises is a full-time, on-site position based in Dahlonega, GA. The agent will coordinate freight movements between shippers and carriers, negotiate rates, and secure capacity to meet customer needs. Daily responsibilities include managing load details, tracking shipments, resolving transit issues, and maintaining accurate documentation. The agent will build and maintain strong relationships with customers and carriers, provide timely updates, and ensure that all parties receive clear communication regarding schedules and expectations. This role also involves collaborating with internal team members to optimize routes, improve service levels, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage, with experience arranging and managing freight shipments.
• Strong Customer Service skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, respond promptly, and manage customer expectations.
• Experience in Dispatching, including coordinating loads, assigning carriers, and monitoring transit progress.
• Account Management capabilities, such as maintaining client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and ensuring repeat business.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics concepts, including carrier networks, lanes, and basic regulatory considerations.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple loads and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with common office and logistics software tools; familiarity with TMS platforms is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics or business are beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Dahlonega, GA, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
