Campbell McCleave is a long-established freight forwarding and logistics business, providing transport and logistics solutions to customers across the UK, Ireland and internationally.

We are currently looking for a Freight Forwarder to join our team based in Antrim.

The Role

Working as part of our freight forwarding team, you will be responsible for coordinating customer shipments and ensuring freight movements are managed efficiently from booking through to delivery.

This is a busy, customer-focused role requiring good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities at the same time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating freight movements from booking through to delivery
• Arranging road and air freight shipments
• Liaising with customers, hauliers, carriers and overseas agents
• Obtaining rates and preparing customer quotations
• Preparing and processing relevant freight and shipping documentation
• Tracking shipments and providing customers with timely updates
• Dealing with operational queries, delays and changes as they arise
• Maintaining accurate shipment information and internal records
• Building strong working relationships with customers and suppliers
• Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to ensure a high standard of service

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics or a similar environment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
• A proactive approach to problem solving
• Good IT and administrative skills
• The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Experience across road, sea or air freight would be beneficial, although we are particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, strong customer focus and a good understanding of the freight environment.
