About the role

Manage and coordinate import and export shipments to ensure timely and smooth delivery. This role involves coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, suppliers, and other related parties to facilitate manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate import and export shipments to ensure timely and smooth delivery
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, suppliers, and other related parties
• Prepare and verify import/export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, and other required documents
• Monitor shipment schedules, vessel/flight status, and delivery progress
• Handle customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
• Coordinate the delivery and receipt of imported materials, spare parts, machinery, and other goods required for manufacturing operations
• Follow up on shipping documents and resolve any discrepancies or shipment-related issues
• Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and shipping documentation
• Monitor freight and logistics costs and coordinate with relevant departments regarding shipment requirements
• Prepare regular reports related to import/export and logistics activities

Requirement

• Minimum 4 years of experience in freight forwarding, import and export, logistics, or a related position, preferably in the manufacturing or logistic industry
• Good understanding of import and export processes, freight forwarding, and customs procedures
• Familiar with import and export documentation and shipping processes
• Good communication and coordination skills with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal departments
• Good problem-solving and follow-up skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Must be good command of English, both written and verbal
• Experience handling international shipments and customs clearance
• Experience in a manufacturing company with regular import of raw materials, machinery, or spare parts
