Freight Forwarding Coordinator

About the Role

Coordinates inbound and outbound domestic shipments, including reefer and dry containers, ensuring timely cargo movement, accurate documentation, shipment visibility, and effective coordination with carriers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and monitor shipment bookings and cargo movements with shipping lines and other service providers.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, carriers, trucking providers, customs brokers, and internal teams.
• Verify shipping documents and ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Track shipment milestones, update records in YXE, and proactively communicate shipment status and operational concerns.
• Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and service disruptions.
• Maintain shipment reports, KPI records, and other operational documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Customs Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or transportation.
• Knowledge of domestic container shipping processes and freight forwarding documentation.
• Familiarity with shipping lines, carriers, and customs clearance procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple shipments and priorities.
