Freight Forwarding NVOCC Operations Position

Experienced Operations Professionals (2-10+ years) – Ocean and Air Import/Export Operations

As an operations team member, you will execute the full operations processes for import and export ocean, air, rail and trucking shipments from origin to destination including quoting freight rates. The operations team members are trusted advisors for client accounts' freight forwarding needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience directly managing ocean and/or air services within a freight forwarder is required.
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
• Solid understanding of local territory and overseas logistics.
• Astute negotiation skills and the ability to build strong business relationships with all clients including C-level seniority.
• Excellent listening, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and freight operations software programs.

Responsibilities:

• Present MT Global‘s freight forwarding service offerings: (i) Ocean Import/Export, (ii) Air Import/Export, (iii) Domestic/International Trucking, (iv) Customs Brokerage and (v) MT Global operations team’s logistics expertise.
• Manage assigned accounts and demonstrate extensive knowledge of potential customers and competitors in this area.
• Meet performance requirements of Operations Management.
• Actively work with account management to market MT Global services to develop and grow sales presence in local market.
• Maintain communication with internal teams as well as overseas offices.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
