Freight Handler

This role involves transporting freight within a dock environment, using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Key duties include verifying freight documentation, securing cargo inside trailers, repairing damaged freight, and assisting with freight documentation and customer interactions.

Additional responsibilities may include hostling duties and ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in warehousing, freight handling, or forklift operation.

Applicants should have basic math, communication skills, and the physical ability to lift and move freight and trailer doors frequently.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential, with previous dock or warehouse experience considered a plus.

The work environment is a dock setting with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, and noise.

Fast-paced, deadline-driven, requiring frequent contact with personnel.

Compensation ranges from $27.02 to $32.17 per hour, with benefits including health insurance, paid time off, 401(k), bonuses, and additional support services.
