Job Overview

AQK Logistics, LLC is seeking a dependable and hardworking Freight Loader to support daily freight handling, loading, unloading, and warehouse operations. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is physically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The Freight Loader will assist with loading and unloading shipments, organizing freight, preparing orders for transportation, and maintaining a safe and efficient work area. Training will be provided, and previous freight or warehouse experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, packages, and shipments from trucks and trailers
• Move freight safely between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas
• Sort and organize shipments according to destination and delivery requirements
• Verify package counts, labels, and basic shipment information
• Inspect freight for visible damage before loading or unloading
• Properly position and secure freight to help prevent damage during transportation
• Stage completed shipments for scheduled pickup or dispatch
• Assist with receiving and organizing incoming freight
• Use hand trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and other basic material-handling equipment as appropriate
• Maintain clean and organized loading and staging areas
• Assist with inventory organization and basic freight counts
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrectly labeled shipments
• Follow company safety procedures and proper lifting techniques
• Work with warehouse and transportation team members to complete daily assignments
• Perform additional freight-handling duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
• Ability to safely lift and move freight and packages
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
• Good attention to detail and safety
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

The Freight Loader plays an important role in keeping shipments moving safely and efficiently. Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
