Duties

• Provide individualized French language instruction tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and proficiency level
• Develop comprehensive curricula and lesson plans that incorporate diverse teaching strategies and resources
• Utilize e-learning platforms and digital tools to enhance remote and in-person lessons
• Adapt instructional approaches based on student progress, feedback, and specific needs, including working with students with disabilities
• Incorporate literacy education techniques to improve reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in French
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for all learners
• Track student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching foreign languages, especially French
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning principles
• Experience working with students with disabilities or special educational needs
• Familiarity with learning technology, e-learning platforms, and digital instructional tools
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to create engaging instructional materials
• Demonstrated adaptability in teaching methods to meet diverse learner requirements
• Prior classroom management experience and experience working with children or young learners is preferred
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Japanese is a plus but not required

Pay: $27.44 - $33.04 per hour

Work Location: In person
