Front Counter Associate

Job Summary

Karma Koffee LLC is looking for a friendly and dependable Front Counter Associate to welcome guests, take orders, process payments, and support smooth café service. This role is suited for someone who enjoys customer interaction and working in a busy coffee-shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide attentive front-counter service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments.
• Answer questions about coffee, drinks, food, and menu options.
• Coordinate customer orders with baristas and kitchen staff.
• Package pastries, breakfast items, and takeaway orders.
• Keep the front counter and customer areas clean and organized.
• Restock cups, lids, napkins, and other service supplies.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously.
• Follow proper cash-handling and food-safety procedures.
• Assist team members during busy breakfast and lunch periods.
• Help maintain a welcoming and efficient café atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, café, restaurant, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Friendly personality and strong communication skills.
• Comfortable handling payments and using a POS system.
• Able to remain organized during busy service periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new tasks.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and order accuracy.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible availability for mornings and weekends.

About The Company

Karma Koffee LLC is a locally established coffee shop in Omaha's Pepperwood Village. The café serves specialty coffee, espresso drinks, teas, fresh juices, breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries, and seasonal beverages. The business has operated in Omaha since 2014.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
