Front Counter Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Front End Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently managing transactions. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that customers have a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety and cash handling procedures, along with experience in the grocery or food industry.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Process customer orders using POS systems, including Aloha POS if applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the front end and café areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations at all times.
• Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
• Provide support to team members during peak hours to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to enhance their shopping experience.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or food industry setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cash registers is essential.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing are required.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is highly desirable.
• Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
