You will be responsible for taking orders, processing payments, and supporting food preparation to deliver quick, quality service in a fast-paced environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Adelo POS.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and register operations.
• Assist in food preparation and food handling tasks to support kitchen staff and maintain sanitation standards.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front counter area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality service.
• Support food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, with Caribbean food.
• Steam table experience is a plus
• Knowledge of guyanese food is a plus .
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, ADELO POS or Micros POS is highly advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order totaling.
• Experience with food preparation, food safety standards, and sanitation practices is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.69 per hour
