Front Counter / Takeaway Assistant – Fratello’s Pizza & Pasta

We are a busy and growing family-run Italian takeaway looking for a reliable Front Counter Assistant to join our team.

This is an important role within the business. You will be responsible for taking customer orders, organising delivery orders, preparing packaging and helping keep the front of the takeaway running smoothly during busy periods.

Main responsibilities

• Taking customer orders in person and over the phone
• Using the till / POS system accurately
• Managing orders from Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo and our own ordering system
• Organising delivery orders and making sure they are ready for the correct driver
• Checking orders before they leave the shop
• Preparing pizza boxes, pasta containers, bags, sauces and other packaging
• Helping organise tickets so the kitchen knows what needs to be prepared
• Communicating clearly with kitchen staff, customers and delivery drivers
• Handling cash and card payments
• Keeping the front counter, packaging area and customer area clean and organised
• Helping with general takeaway duties when required

What we’re looking for

• Previous takeaway, restaurant or customer-service experience is preferred
• Confident speaking to customers and answering the phone
• Able to stay organised when several orders are coming in at the same time
• Reliable and punctual
• Good attention to detail — especially when checking orders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently and take responsibility for the front counter
• Friendly, professional and willing to help wherever needed
• Someone who would like to grow with a small family business as it gets busier

Pay: From £60.00 per day
