Job Summary

Hotel in Rosemead, California is seeking a Front Desk Agent to join the team. This individual will be responsible to deliver outstanding guest services by greeting and checking guests in and/or out of the hotel.

Responsibilities and Duties

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Greet guests and complete the registration process to include, but not limited to, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, making electronic room key cards, promoting marketing programs, providing a welcome packet and ensuring guest knows location of room.
• Assist guests with check-in and/or check-out including, but not limited to, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment, making change and processing gift certificates and cards.
• Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information including, but not limited to, room types, room rates, promotions, and the local attractions/events/restaurants/stores.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations and inquiries, take and relay messages, and transfer calls to guest rooms and appropriate parties.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Log guest complaints, conduct research, and find resolutions for guest satisfactions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience not required, but highly desirable. Will train!
• Must be responsible and detail-oriented.
• Must have great personality with a big smile!
• Knowledgeable in basic computer skills, counting cash, answering multi-line telephone.
• Desire to learn and Multi-tasking.
• Have a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, overnights are all open to scheduling)

Job Types: Full-time, 11PM to 7AM

Salary: $18.50 to 20.00 /hour

Experience:

• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Telephone Skills: 1 year (Preferred)
• Hotel: 1 year (Preferred)
• Cash Handling: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
