Front Desk Agent

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience and ensuring guests receive excellent service throughout their stay.

The ideal candidate is dependable, personable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check guests in and out in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process reservations, room assignments, payments, and guest requests accurately.
• Provide information about hotel amenities, services, local attractions, and transportation.
• Respond to guest questions, concerns, and complaints and work to resolve issues promptly.
• Answer and direct telephone calls and respond to guest communications.
• Maintain accurate guest records and follow hotel policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment-related duties accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
• Protect guest privacy and follow hotel security and safety procedures.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and loyalty-program benefits when appropriate.
• Perform other front-desk and guest-service duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or front-desk experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong customer-service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy environment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel property-management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
