Front Desk Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a customer-focused Front Desk Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for clients—welcoming guests, handling vehicle check-ins, explaining service options, and keeping customers updated. You will blend excellent customer service with basic mechanical knowledge to recommend necessary maintenance, provide accurate estimates, and ensure a seamless experience from start to finish.

Duties &* Responsibilities*

• Warmly welcome customers, listen to their concerns, and accurately note down vehicle issues.
• Schedule and manage customer service appointments efficiently.
• Explain needed repairs and provide clear, accurate quotes using estimating software.
• Recommend helpful maintenance services (such as oil changes, tires, brakes, and alignments).
• Assist customers with emission tests and explain any required follow-up services.
• Work closely with technicians to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time.
• Keep customers updated via phone, email, or in person throughout the repair process.
• Process customer payments and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
• Help maintain a clean and organized office and customer reception area.
• Utilize basic auto knowledge to assist in creating precise repair estimates.

Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience as a Service Advisor or front-desk agent in a car repair shop.
• Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of basic car mechanics, parts, and maintenance.
• Software Skills: Ability to use computer software to create repair estimates and quotes.
• Communication: Strong customer service, communication, and scheduling skills.
• Sales Experience: Experience in auto sales or retail is a plus.
• License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Multitasking: Comfortable handling money and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
