Location: Play Squash Academy – Columbia, MD

Job Type: Part-Time (20 or more hours per week--Mon to Thur 4pm-8pm plus weekends)

Compensation: $18/hour + Bonuses (based on upsells, packages, and new memberships)

We’re seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Columbia location as a Front Desk Associate. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on customer service, is organized, and is eager to help grow our business.

ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service Excellence

• Greet members and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor.
• Address inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and effectively.
• Build positive relationships with members to enhance their experience.

Scheduling and Administrative Tasks

• Manage court bookings, lessons, and program schedules with accuracy.
• Proficiently use Google Sheets for data entry and organization.
• Handle scheduling for 15 squash professionals and communicate with members to confirm lessons, clinics, and match plays.
• Sell summer camp packages and promote other academy programs.
• Maintain organized records of memberships, payments, and attendance.
• Keep the front desk area tidy and welcoming.

Upselling and Membership Growth

• Promote and upsell packages, lessons, and memberships to new and existing members.
• Meet or exceed sales targets, with bonuses tied to performance.
• Educate members about program benefits and opportunities to maximize engagement.

Marketing and Outreach

• Visit local schools, businesses, and communities to promote squash programs.
• Assist in marketing initiatives, including distributing promotional materials and supporting events.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for engaging with people.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clientele.
• Energetic and proactive personality, with a focus on achieving upselling goals.
• Experience in marketing or outreach is preferred, along with a willingness to represent the business in person.
• Previous experience working in sports clubs or similar environments is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills, multitasking ability, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the Play Squash Academy business model.
