Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant reservation systems to confirm bookings and accommodate walk-in guests efficiently
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent guest services and addressing inquiries with clarity and friendliness
• Handle phone communication with professionalism, utilizing proper phone etiquette to answer questions, take reservations, or direct calls appropriately
• Oversee restaurant table management systems to ensure smooth seating flow and timely service coordination
• Assist with POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to process payments accurately and efficiently during closing procedures
• Maintain organization of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness, food safety standards, and proper setup for the next day’s service
• Conduct end-of-shift reports, log any incidents or special requests, and ensure all closing tasks are completed thoroughly

Experience

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments demonstrating strong guest relations skills
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and restaurant table management systems
• Experience using POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms for transaction processing
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and courteously
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy closing shifts
• Basic math skills necessary for accurate cash handling and transaction reconciliation
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in guest services is preferred
