Front Desk/ Host

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize table utilization
• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations as needed
• Maintain organized restaurant table management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservation details
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely seating and guest service flow
• Uphold food safety standards by following proper guest interaction protocols and cleanliness procedures
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess or front desk experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and courteously
• Experience with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, guest counts, and table management calculations
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and high energy level
• Reliable attendance with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
