Front Desk / Member Experience Associate

Overview

We are seeking an energetic, dependable Front Desk / Member Experience Associate to join the Vice Gym team. In this role, you will be one of the first people our members and guests interact with and will play an important part in maintaining the high standard of service, cleanliness, and community Vice is known for. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fitness, working with people, and being part of a fast-paced environment where taking initiative matters.

In addition to hourly pay, this role includes performance-based commission opportunities, including 10% commission on membership sales and 5% commission on personal training closes.

Duties

• Greet and check in members while providing a welcoming and professional experience
• Assist prospective members with membership sign-ups, tours, renewals, and general inquiries
• Deliver excellent customer service and help resolve member questions or concerns
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of the facility
• Perform regular walkthroughs to ensure equipment, locker rooms, and common areas meet Vice standards
• Assist with basic equipment and facility maintenance requests by communicating issues to management
• Support Vice events, promotions, community activations, and other gym initiatives
• Help communicate current membership offers, services, events, and promotions to members
• Work collaboratively with management, trainers, and other team members
• Uphold Vice’s culture by helping maintain a respectful, positive, and community-focused environment
• Take initiative when something needs to be cleaned, restocked, organized, or addressed without waiting to be asked

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous customer service, hospitality, retail, sales, or gym experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly, confident, and comfortable interacting with members and prospective members
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities
• Passion for fitness, health, wellness, or the gym environment preferred
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn membership management systems
• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing the VICE brand
