Introduction
We're hiring the person who runs the front desk.
At North Augusta Chiropractic, our Front Desk Operations Coordinator plays an important role in keeping our busy, three-doctor practice running smoothly.
We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and genuinely enjoys helping people.
You'll manage a constantly changing schedule, answer incoming calls, help patients through their visits, collect payments, and work closely with our doctors and staff to keep the day running smoothly.
The right person notices what needs attention, determines what matters most, and takes action.
If you're someone who takes pride in doing your job well, enjoys staying busy, and likes being the person others can count on, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do
You'll manage new-patient intake and established-patient flow while keeping our front office organized, efficient, and welcoming.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate a busy, constantly changing patient schedule with accuracy.
- Greet patients warmly and manage check-in, checkout, and appointment scheduling.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, including new-patient inquiries.
- Actively manage patient flow to help keep appointments running smoothly.
- Communicate clearly with patients, doctors, and coworkers.
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure patient paperwork and information are complete and accurate.
- Stay organized and composed while managing multiple competing priorities.
- Help reduce missed appointments through clear communication, accurate scheduling, and timely follow-up.
- Prepare providers with the information they need for the day.
- Follow established office procedures and help solve problems as they arise.
- Assist in other areas of the office when patient care requires it.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who takes pride in being dependable, organized, professional, and proactive.
You'll likely be a strong fit if you:
- Think quickly and stay organized when several things need attention.
- Communicate confidently, warmly, and professionally.
- Remain composed and solution-focused under pressure.
- Pay close attention to details and value accuracy.
- Follow office procedures and address problems before they become bigger issues.
- Take ownership and pride in creating an excellent patient experience.
- Work respectfully and collaboratively with coworkers.
- Learn new systems, ask questions when needed, and work to get better at the job.
- Accept constructive feedback professionally and consistently apply what you've learned.
- Maintain strong attendance and consistent performance.
Previous healthcare or medical-office experience is preferred but not required. Strong judgment, work ethic, professionalism, and willingness to learn are equally important.
Training and Cross-Training
We take training seriously and don't expect new employees to know everything on their first day.
You'll start by learning our front desk systems, including scheduling, patient communication, patient flow, payments, and office procedures. We provide hands-on training, regular feedback, and time to practice what you've learned.
Once you're comfortable and proficient at the front desk, we'll begin training you in other areas of the practice. This may include insurance verification, referral and authorization tracking, patient documentation, and administrative reporting.
Our goal is to have employees who know their primary responsibilities well and can step in to help their coworkers when needed.
Schedule
This is a full-time, in-person position with a Monday–Thursday patient schedule. Friday mornings are required for training during approximately the first 12 weeks.
After onboarding, employees typically work Monday through Thursday and enjoy three-day weekends.
Because we operate on a four-day patient schedule, consistent attendance and reliability are especially important.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay of $18.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Opportunities for performance-based pay increases.
- Group health insurance available after 90 days, subject to plan eligibility.
- 401(k) retirement plan with eligibility after 90 days.
- Paid vacation and sick leave for eligible employees.
- Chiropractic care benefits.
- Thorough onboarding and training.
- A team that values patient care, teamwork, and doing the job right.
- Opportunity to learn multiple aspects of a busy healthcare practice.
