What they need
Join Our Fun and Supportive Team at League City Pediatric Dentistry!
We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, personable, and genuinely enjoys working with people. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, bring a warm, professional presence to the front desk, and work well with others.
Experience matters, but attitude, work ethic, and personality matter just as much! We believe work should be a positive place to be. We care about each person on our team, support one another, and enjoy working together to create something great. We’ve always tried to do things differently in dentistry, and we believe that same mindset should carry over into how we work together. We value a culture where people are respected, supported, encouraged to grow, and take pride in what they do. (And yes, we have a certified therapy dog who is part of the team, along with another one in training!)
About the Role
As a Front Desk Operations Specialist, you’ll play an important role in both the patient experience and the day-to-day operations of our practice. You’ll be expected to understand how the different pieces of the front office work together and helping the office run smoothly.
- Oversee day-to-day front office operations, optimizing the schedule, maintaining good patient flow, and helping ensure the practice runs efficiently
- Build rapport with patients and families throughout their experience, including presenting treatment estimates and financial arrangements and helping address questions and concerns along the way
- Oversee billing, insurance verification, payments, collections, and related follow-up, ensuring financial responsibilities are handled accurately and consistently
- Maintain practice reports and stay on top of key areas of performance, following through on anything that needs attention
- Handle patient concerns with patience, professionalism, and warmth, while maintaining high standards of service and communication
- Help train, support, and develop team members, contributing to a collaborative team environment and consistent front-office workflows
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and workflows, and work with the doctors and team to implement ideas and solutions that make the practice better
What You’ll Bring
- Dental office experience required; pediatric dental experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and team members
- Strong understanding of the operational and financial side of a dental practice in billing, insurance, and collections
- Experience managing practice reports and financial systems, with the ability to stay on top of ongoing responsibilities and follow through on anything that needs attention
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and execution, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep things moving
- Experience training, mentoring, and supporting team members, with the ability to contribute to a collaborative and accountable team environment
- Comfortable learning and following established systems, policies, and compliance requirements, including HIPAA
- Interest in continued growth and taking on greater responsibility over time
