Front Desk Receptionist

FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities Job description:

• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
• Answer high volume incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Schedule appointments
• Update insurance information in EHR
• Maintain HIPAA office standards and procedures per health care regulation state and federal regulations
• Coordinate with other offices to ensure that patients receive the best patient care and staff assistance
• Maintain office inventory as needed
• Maintain office work flow to reduce delays. Announce any delays to patients waiting to be seen.
• Maintain office safety per state and federal regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Required

• Minimum of one year experience in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR, EHR, Microsoft Office, Teams, eligibility, referrals, data entry.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
• Attention to detail
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy phone volume.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent
