Front Desk Receptionist

About Us

Dogwood Dermatology is a new, independent dermatology practice opening in Staunton, VA, serving patients throughout the Shenandoah Valley. We're building a patient-focused, energetic, and caring team from the ground up and looking for a front desk staff member to join us as a founding member of the practice

Duties include:

• Patient check in/out
• Preparing fee sheets, collecting payments
• Answering phone calls
• Scheduling and appointment confirmation
• Reviewing incoming patient communications/questions, incoming faxes and other correspondence
• Responding to simple questions and delegating complex questions to senior staff
• Submission of prior authorization paperwork for certain medications
• Corresponding with referring physicians, scanning and routing correspondence and medical records, and other general clinical admin duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

• Dermatology experience is beneficial
• Willingness to be cross-trained to assist with clinical, lab, and administrative tasks
• Experience with ModMed EMR is beneficial

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
