Front Desk Receptionist

If you’re comfortable talking to different people throughout the day and you’re usually the person who stays calm when someone needs help, this could suit you well.

We’re looking for an Inbound Call Center Assistant in Kansas City to join a busy customer support team. You’ll speak with customers from a range of backgrounds, so no two conversations are exactly the same. Some calls are quick and straightforward, while others might need a little more patience.

You don’t need previous call center experience. We’re happy to train someone who communicates well, listens and genuinely enjoys helping people.

What the Role Looks Like

This is an inbound position, so you won’t be spending your day cold calling people.

Your day will include:

• Answering incoming customer calls
• Listening to questions and understanding what the customer needs
• Providing clear information and general support
• Updating customer details and call notes
• Helping with basic account or service queries
• Passing more complex issues to the correct team
• Following up when additional information is needed
• Keeping customer records accurate

You’ll have training, systems and a team around you to help you get comfortable with the role.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to have worked in a call center before.

Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, reception or administration can all transfer well into this position.

We’re mainly looking for someone who:

• Is confident speaking with people over the phone
• Has a friendly and professional manner
• Can listen properly rather than rush through a conversation
• Is comfortable using a computer while on calls
• Can stay patient when customers are frustrated
• Shows up reliably and works well with a team

Hours & Workplace

This is an on-site position based in Kansas City, Shifts are scheduled in advance and can include a mixture of daytime and later shifts depending on customer service hours.
