Front Desk Receptionist

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our busy podiatry practice. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.

We are looking for a team player who enjoys working with patients and is committed to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
• Answer incoming phone calls and schedule appointments.
• Check patients in and out efficiently.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Assist with patient registration and required paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, medical assistants, and other office staff.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
• Maintain an organized and efficient front desk.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance and eligibility verification is a plus.
• Strong computer and typing skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. Specifically Athena.
