Duties

• Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service while managing check-ins and check-outs
• Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily workflow
• Handle medical billing and collections accurately, ensuring timely processing of payments and insurance claims
• Maintain detailed patient records using veterinary terminology and ensure confidentiality at all times
• Manage phone inquiries professionally, providing information about services, pet care tips, or directing calls appropriately
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed when necessary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques highly desirable
• Familiarity with pet care practices including pet grooming, dog training, and animal husbandry is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
